With 4 Bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, the Blue Moon Cottage is a wonderful getaway for two or may accommodate up to eight guests with it’s spacious layout.!
The Cottage features Your Own Personal Front Porch complete with Rockers, Shaded by Palms and Cooled by the Breezes from the Famous Apalachicola Bay. The first floor suite (Q) is a Romantic Retreat , Master Bath with the original Claw Foot Tub/Shower, Antique Sink Vanity, Second bedroom on 1st floor (Q) has a walk-in shower and exit to the back courtyard. Upstairs has a small sitting room, 3rd BR (K) and 4th BR with twin beds.
From the moment you step on to the Front Porch and glance down to the waterfront docks, you can feel the connection with Apalachicola (The local Native word meaning gathering place of ‘Friendly People’). The Home has 12 foot Ceilings built with timbers from the famous Bay Cypress in the late 1800’s.This Wonderful House was the Original Home of the George Family from the turn of the Century (Circa 1900 – 2010). Straight from Greece to Ellis Island to Apalachicola, the George Family made their mark in this Amazing Fishing Community. The George’s were such a devoted Greek Family that when it came time to add on to this wonderful home in the early 1900’s… Mr. George actually incorporated their homeland Greek Flag into the ceiling of what we now call the Family Room.Please Come and Enjoy a taste of the past as you make History and memories for the future with YOUR family and friends at the Beautiful BLUE MOON OF APALACHICOLA.
IMPORTANT: SECURITY CAMERAS ARE USED ON ALL EXTERIOR DOORS, AND IN THE PUBLIC LAUNDRY ROOM.
NOTE: there is a 3 night minimum for Seafood Festival and all Federal Holidays, 2 night minimum standard.’
PET POLICY:Sorry but no cats, no exceptions! Pet fee’s of $100 per pet must be paid in advance. There is a limit on # of pets. If you are checking in with a four-legged family member you are responsible for cleaning up their waste and disposing of waste in the trash receptacles on Commerce Street. Pets are not permitted on any furniture including beds. They are not to be left alone for extended periods of time. Pets are not allowed in the landscaping around the Inn. Barking dogs that are disturbing other guests will be asked to leave. Pets must be leashed in Apalachicola and while on the grounds of the Blue Moon.
By virtue of making a reservation for your pet you are accepting full responsibility for your pet’s behavior. Should your pet cause any damage or harm to the Blue Moon Inn, it’s guests or its employees you agree to pay all medical, legal and property damage caused by your pet and hold harmless the Blue Moon Inn.
Owners of the Blue Moon reserve the right to remove the Guest and Pet from the property without refund.
